Although there is no map of exactly where the old Fort Tabby was at, it is safe to say, based off extensive research, that we are located within a few hundred feet off the original location of the Fort. It is our belief this 3.5 acre piece of ground was always meant to be preserved as a place of peace and tranquility in remembrance, in honor, and in celebration of Chief Tabby, it’s history, and how it came to be. Fort Tabby is a private campground with public water, public restrooms and showers. On opening day, we currently plan to have 13 campsites and 3 tipi’s, with plans of adding cabins and wagons in the future. We welcome all, and hope that you have a desire to learn while you’re here.
